Pharmacy context
This is a community pharmacy in Elgin, Morayshire. Its main activity is dispensing NHS prescriptions. And it supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to some people who need help remembering to take their medicines at the right times. The pharmacy offers a medicines delivery service and provides a private travel vaccination clinic. The pharmacy team advises on minor ailments and medicines’ use. This was a reinspection following an inspection in July 2024 where the pharmacy did not meet Standard 2.2. This reinspection focused on the Standard which had previously not been met and one other standard was also inspected in response to what the inspector observed during the inspection. Following the last inspection, the pharmacy had enrolled all team members on accredited training courses. And all team members were being given time at work to complete training within appropriate timescales. The pharmacy has reviewed its standard operating procedures to ensure they continue to reflect its current practice.
