Pharmacy context
This is a community pharmacy situated in the same building as a large medical centre on a main road into Brighton. The pharmacy provides NHS services such as dispensing, the Pharmacy First service, and smoking cessation. It offers a travel clinic provided vaccinations against prescriptions issued by company prescribers. And it has a private prescribing service where a company prescriber would issue a prescription, and the person would collect the medicine from the pharmacy. Conditions prescribed for included weight loss and erectile dysfunction. The pharmacy offers a home delivery service, and many of its prescriptions are dispensed by its offsite hub. The pharmacy also supplies medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs for those people who need this additional support. This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in December 2015.
