Inspection Reports

What are GPhC inspection reports?

The General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) inspects registered pharmacies against five standards. Reports show whether the pharmacy met the standards, with improvement or enforcement action where needed. Premises ID is the same as the pharmacy's GPhC registration number.

Pharmacy context

This busy community pharmacy is located within a medical centre.  Most people who use the pharmacy are from the local area. The pharmacy dispenses NHS prescriptions, and it sells a range of over-the-counter medicines. It provides seasonal flu and COVID-19  vaccination services and some other NHS funded services including the Pharmacy First Service. Around 60% of prescriptions are sent to the company's hub to be dispensed. This was a routine inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was last inspected in October 2015.
