Pharmacy context

This community pharmacy is located within a parade of shops on a busy high street in the town of Burnham-on-Crouch in Essex. It provides a variety of services including dispensing of NHS and private prescriptions, the Pharmacy First service and vaccinations under Patient Group Directions (PGDs). It also provides a large number of medicines in multi-compartment compliance packs to people who need extra support taking their medicines. There is also a post office within the same building. This was an inspection of the pharmacy which focused on the core Standards relating to patient safety. Not all the Standards were inspected on this occasion. The pharmacy was previously inspected in December 2015.
